## Eigene Lösungswege suchen und erproben

Ein Problem ist aufgetaucht: Das Spielzeugauto ist unter der Kommode verschwunden. Die Tagesmutter fragt Armi, ob er es holen könnte, und bittet Angela, Armi das Auto zu zeigen. Sie ermutigt somit die Kinder, diese Herausforderung alleine zu meistern, und traut ihnen zu, dass sie es schaffen können. Doch wie sie ans Ziel kommen, müssen Armi und Angela selbst herausfinden. Sie probieren mit verschiedenen Gegenständen das Auto zu erreichen. Dabei sind sie nicht immer erfolgreich. Die beiden Kinder arbeiten zusammen und jedes nimmt eine andere Rolle ein: Armi holt das Auto und Angela steht ihm mit Tipps zur Seite.

Kinder brauchen Zeit und Gelegenheit, eigene Lösungen zu suchen. Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass die Erwachsenen zuerst eine abwartende und beobachtende Rolle einnehmen, solange die Kinder keine Hilfe einfordern oder mit der Situation überfordert sind. Wenn Kindern keine „fertigen“ Lösungen präsentiert werden, sondern sie selbst auf die Suche gehen müssen und verschiedene Wege ausprobieren können, haben sie die Möglichkeit, aus Fehlern oder falschen Fährten zu lernen. Sie können Selbstwirksamkeit und Erfolgsfreude erleben.

## Emotionen im Lernprozess

Armi und Angela nehmen die Herausforderung, das Auto selber hervorzuholen, ehrgeizig und freudig an. Das Überlegen und Ausprobieren, wie es am besten funktioniert, macht ihnen Spass. Und als das Ziel erreicht ist, das Auto wieder da ist, ist die Freude am grössten. Angela rennt sofort zurTagesmutter, um ihr vom Gelingen zu erzählen, und Armi zeigt mit seiner Körpersprache und durch seine Äusserung: „Ich bin so stark!“, wie stolz er auf sich selbst ist. Beide Kinder haben ein Erfolgserlebnis.

Das Lernen von Kindern wird von Gefühlen begleitet. Kinder sind begeisterte Lerner. Ihre Neugierde ist dabei die stärkste Motivation. Sie zeigen Freude, wenn sie etwas ausprobieren, erkunden und erfragen können und dabei möglichst wenig unterbrochen werden. Wenn Kinder dann Erfolg beim Lernen erfahren, werden diese Erlebnisse von Glücksgefühlen begleitet. Dies ist die beste Ausgangslage, um sich erneut motiviert und selbstbewusst neuen Herausforderungen zu stellen. Jedoch nicht alles, was Kinder in Angriff nehmen, gelingt ihnen auch. Dann braucht es viel Standhalten, um dennoch zum Erfolg zukommen. Bei (wiederkehrendem) Misserfolg erlebt das Kind dagegen Frustration. Erlebt ein Kind in einer Situation negative Gefühle, wie z.B. Schmerz oder Angst, so wird es zukünftig solche Situationen eher zu meiden versuchen und sie mit schlechten Erinnerungen in Verbindung setzen.

## Respektvolle Botschaften, Ermutigungen und Anteilnahme

„Super! Bravo! Bravo, Armi!“, ruft die Tagesmutter. Armi und Angela haben es geschafft, das Auto unter der Kommode hervorzuholen. DieTagesmutter freut sich mit den Kindern und lobt sie. Durch diese Anteilnahme der Bezugsperson werden das Erfolgserlebnis und das Gefühl der Kinder, etwas selbst und erfolgreich erreichen zu können (Selbstwirksamkeit) noch verstärkt. Sie werden so bestärkt in ihrer Erfahrung: „Ich habe dieses Mal die Herausforderung (fast) allein gemeistert, also kann ich es auch das nächste Mal.“ Dieses Erlebnis trägt zum allmählichen Aufbau eines positiven und zugleich realistischen Selbstkonzepts bei. Dies stärkt die Fähigkeit, psychische Widerstandskraft zu entwickeln (Resilienz). Letztere brauchen Kinder, um auch bei Belastungen sagen zu können: „Ich kann etwas bewegen, ich kann etwas lernen, ich bin wertvoll!“

## Children finding ways to solve problems by themselves

There’s a problem: the toy car has disappeared under the cupboard! The childminder asks Armi if he could retrieve it and asks Angela to show him where it is. In this way she encourages the two children to tackle the challenge on their own and shows confidence in their ability to succeed. Exactly how they achieve their goal is up to Armi and Angela to work out for themselves. They try to get the toy car using differentobjects, with varying success. The two children work together, and each takes a different role: Armi retrieves the car, and Angela gives him helpful tips.

Children need time and opportunities to find their own ways of doing things. It is important for adults to wait and observe at first, as long as the children do not ask for help or are not overwhelmed by the situation. When children are not presented with ready-made solutions and have to find solutions themselves by trying out different ways to solve problems instead, they have an opportunity to learn from their mistakes and see that they are on the wrong track. They can then gain a feeling of self-efficacy and a sense of success and achievement.

## Emotions in the learning process

Armi and Angela take up the challenge of retrieving the toy car with eagernessand delight. Thinking it over and trying out different ways to retrieve the car is a lot of fun. And they are most thrilled when they achieve their goal and retrieve the car. Angela immediately runs to the childminder to tell her of their success; Armi’s body language and his comment, “I am so strong!” shows how proud he is of himself. The two children have a sense of accomplishment and success.

Children’s learning is accompanied by emotions. Children are enthusiastic learners. Their curiosity is their strongest motivator. They enjoy being allowed to try things out―exploring and questioning and being interrupted as little as possible. When children then succeed in learning to do something, the experience gives them a feeling of pleasure. This is the best starting point for becoming motivated again and tackling new challenges with self-confidence. However, children do not succeed at everything that that they set about to do. They need to persist if they are to succeed in the end. If they experience (repeated) failures, they experience frustration. And if children have negative feelings in a certain situation, like pain or fear, they will tend to avoid similar situations in future and associate them with unpleasant memories.

## Respectful messages, encouragement and taking interest

“Super! Bravo! Bravo, Armi!” praises the childminder. Armi and Angela have managed to retrieve the toy car from under the cupboard. The childminder shares the children’s pleasure and praises them. Her interest and pleasure further strengthens the children’s sense of achievement and self-efficacy―their belief in their own ability to complete tasks and reach goals. This reinforces their experience of having mastered a challenge (almost) by themselves and their sense that they can do so again next time. This experience contributes toward the gradual development of a positive and also realistic self-concept. It strengthens their ability to develop stamina, also known asresilience. Children need resilience so that when they face problems, they can say: “I am capable; I can learn something; I am valuable!”

## Rechercher et essayer ses propres solutions

Un problème se pose: la petite voiture a disparu sous la commode. La mère de jour demande à Armi s’il peut l’attraper et à Angela de la montrer à Armi. Elle encourage ainsi les enfants à relever ce défi seuls, elle pense qu’ils sont capables d’y arriver. Mais c’est à eux de déterminer comment arriver au but. Ils essaient d’atteindre la petite voiture à l’aide de différents objets. Mais ils n’y arrivent pas. Les deux enfants travaillent ensemble et se répartissent les rôles: Armi attrape la voiture et Angela est à ses côtés pour le conseiller.

Les enfants ont besoin de temps et d’une occasion pour essayer leurs propres solutions. C’est pourquoi il est important que les adultes adoptent d’abord une attitude d’attente et d’observation, et cela aussi longtemps que les enfants ne demandent pas d’aide ou qu’ils ne sont pas dépassés par la situation. Lorsque les enfants ne se voient pas présenter des solutions «toutes faites», qu’ils doivent eux-mêmes partir à la recherche d’idées et peuvent essayer différentes voies, ils ont la possibilité d’apprendre à partir des erreurs et des essais infructueux. Cela leur permet de faire l’expérience de leur auto-efficacité et de la joie d’avoir réussi.

## Les émotions dans le processus d’apprentissage

Récupérer eux-mêmes la petite voiture est pour Armi et Angela un défi qu’ils acceptent avec plaisir et qui attise leur ambition. Ils s’amusent à réfléchir et à rechercher le meilleur moyen d’y arriver. Et lorsque le but est atteint, que la petite voiture est sortie de dessous la commode, la joie est à son comble. Angela court dire à la mère de jour qu’ils y sont arrivés, et Armi manifeste sa fierté, à la fois par son langage corporel et en disant: «C’est moi le plus fort!“. Les deux enfants font l’expérience de la réussite.

L’apprentissage des enfants s’accompagne de sentiments. Les enfants sont des apprenants enthousiastes. Leur curiosité est du reste leur principale motivation. Ils montrent de la joie lorsqu’ils peuvent essayer, explorer, étudier quelque chose en étant interrompus le moins souvent possible. Lorsqu’un enfant fait l’expérience du succès au cours de l’apprentissage, cela s’accompagne de sensations de bonheur. C’est le meilleur point de départ pour se motiver à nouveau et affronter de nouveaux défis en étant pleinement conscient de sa valeur. Mais tout ce à quoi les enfants s’attachent n’est pas toujours couronné de succès. Il leur faut alors beaucoup de persévérance pour y arriver. En revanche, en cas d’échecs (répétés), l’enfant sera frustré. Si un enfant éprouve des sentiments négatifs, tels que la douleur ou la peur, dans une situation déterminée, il aura tendance à éviter cette situation par la suite car il l’associera à de mauvais souvenirs.

## Des messages respectueux, des encouragements et de l’empathie

«Super! Bravo! Bravo, Armi!», s’écrie la mère de jour. Armi et Angela ont réussi à retirer la petite voiture de dessous la commode. La mère de jour partage la joie des enfants et les félicite. Cette empathie manifestée par leur personne de référence renforce encore chez les enfants le sentiment de la réussite, d’avoir été capables de faire quelque chose eux-mêmes (auto-efficacité). Ils se sentent plus fort dans leur expérience: «J’ai réussi cette fois (presque) tout seul, alors je pourrai aussi le faire la prochaine fois.» Cette expérience contribue à la constitution progressive d’une perception de soi à la fois positive et réaliste. Cela renforce l’aptitude à développer une résistance psychique (résilience). Les enfants en auront besoin pour pouvoir se dire, même dans les situations d’effort important: «Je peux changer les choses, je peux apprendre quelque chose, j’ai de la valeur!»

## Cercare possibili soluzioni e sperimentare

E’ sorto un problema: la macchinina è sparita sotto il comò. La mamma diurna chiede a Armi se riusce a prenderla e chiede a Angela di mostrare la macchinina a Armi. In questo modo incoraggia i bambini ad affrontare da soli la sfida e ha fiducia nel fatto che possono riuscirci. Ma come raggiungere lo scopo Armi e Angela devono scoprirlo da soli. Provano a raggiungere la macchinina con diversi mezzi. Non sempre però con successo. Entrambi i bambini lavorano insieme e ognuno si assume un ruolo: Armi prende la macchinina e Angela lo supporta con dei suggerimenti.

I bambini hanno bisogno di tempo e possibilità per cercare le proprie soluzioni. E 'quindi importante che gli adulti, in un primo momento, assumano un ruolo di attesa e di osservazione, fino a quando i bambini non chiedono aiuto o non possono far fronte alla situazione. Se ai bambini non vengono presentate soluzioni “finite”, ma se saranno loro a dover andare alla ricerca e sperimentare diverse vie, hanno l'opportunità di imparare dagli errori e dalle false piste. In questo modo possono sperimentare l'auto-efficacia e la gioia del successo.

## Emozioni nel processo d’apprendimento

Con ambizione e con gioia Armi e Angela raccolgono la sfida di tirar fuori da soli la macchinina. La riflessione e la sperimentazione, su cosa funziona meglio, li fa divertire. E grande è il piacere quando il traguardo è raggiunto e la macchina è di nuovo da questa parte. Angela corre subito dalla mamma diurna per raccontare quello che è successo e Armi mostra con il linguaggio del corpo e attraverso l’espressione: “Sono così forte!”, quanto è fiero di se stesso. Entrambi i bambini provano il sentimento del successo.

L'apprendimento dei bambini è accompagnato da sentimenti. I bambini sono studenti entusiasti. La più forte motivazione è costituita dalla loro curiosità. Essi mostrano piacere quando possono sperimentare, esplorare e scoprire qualcosa, subendo il meno possibile interruzioni. Nel momento in cui i bambini possono sperimentare il successo nell'apprendimento avranno anche la possibilità di provare sentimenti di felicità. Questo è il miglior punto di partenza per motivarsi di nuovo e per affrontare nuove sfide. Tuttavia, non tutto quello che affrontano i bambini è coronato dal successo. In questo caso particolare, per arrivare al successo ci vuole tanta perseveranza.Al contrario, nel caso in cui il bambino vive esperienze di fallimenti che si ripetono, sperimenta invece la frustrazione. Se il bambino, in una determinata situazione, vive sentimenti negativi, come ad esempio il dolore o la paura, cercherà in futuro di evitare situazioni che richiamano questo genere di vissuto.

## Osservazioni rispettose, incoraggiamenti e solidarietà

“Super! Bravo! Bravo, Armi!”, grida la mamma diurna. Armi e Angela ce l’hanno fatto a prendere la macchinina da sotto il comò. La mamma diurna si rallegra con i bambini e li loda. Attraverso questa partecipazione della persona di riferimento, la soddisfazione e la sensazione del bambino di essere in grado da solo di raggiungere con successo qualcosa (auto-efficacia), vengono rafforzati. Essi sono incoraggiati nella loro esperienza: "Questa volta, ho affrontato la sfida (quasi) da solo, perciò lo posso fare anche la prossima volta."Questa esperienza contribuisce allo sviluppo graduale di un concetto di sé positivo e realistico al tempo stesso. Tutto ciò rafforza lo sviluppo della forza di resistenza mentale (resilienza). In definitiva, i bambini hanno bisogno di poter dire, anche in caso di pressione: "Sono in grado di mettere in moto qualche cosa, posso imparare qualcosa, ho valore.”
